Professional veterinary behaviour guidance for behaviour practitioners
Are you an animal behaviourist in the UK looking for veterinary behaviour support and input with your behaviour cases? If so, we can help!
Veterinary Behaviour Support Service
Working with behaviour cases can sometimes require veterinary expertise, particularly when medical causes, pain, or behavioural medication may be involved. Our Veterinary Behaviour Support Service provides accessible, collaborative support for non-veterinary behaviourists managing complex cases. We offer structured, one-hour (initial) and 30 minute (follow up) online consultations to help you gain veterinary insight, improve case outcomes, and support the welfare of the animals in your care.
Who This Service Is For?
This service is designed for:
- Non-Veterinary behaviour professionals who require veterinary input on a case
- Practitioners seeking guidance on medical factors influencing behaviour
Our goal is to support behaviour professionals while ensuring cases are approached with both behavioural and veterinary perspectives.

What This Service Provides
✔ Veterinary insight into behaviour cases
✔ Guidance on possible medical influences on behaviour
✔ Discussion of behavioural pharmacology where appropriate
✔ Support in complex or challenging cases
✔ Collaboration between veterinary and behaviour professionals
This service is not intended to replace the animal’s primary veterinarian, but rather to provide additional veterinary behavioural expertise. It is also important to note that responsibility for the animals care and for dispensing and prescribing remains with the animals primary referring vet.
This service also does not intend to replace the animal's primary behaviourist (you). As such, the responsibility for assessment and provision of an appropriate ongoing behaviour / environmental modification and training plan remains with the primary behaviourist who has led on the case to date.
Why Seek Veterinary Behaviour Input?
Many behavioural problems may be influenced by underlying medical factors, including:
- Pain or discomfort
- Hormonal influences
- Cognitive changes
- Emotional regulation which may require medication support
Collaborating with a us can help ensure the veterinary behaviour aspects of your behaviour plans are appropriately covered, and evidence-based.
